Do you need to pro­duce a CD, DVD, a radio show, pod­cast, broad­cast or sonify a web­site? Do you need a website/blog to pro­mote your prod­uct or project pro­duc­tions? We will sup­port your pro­duc­tions with com­plete “in-house” pro­duc­tion ser­vices from con­cept to record­ing, post-production to dupli­ca­tion to graphic arts, man­u­fac­tur­ing your prod­uct and tak­ing it to mar­ket with a Multi-Media, Socially Con­nected, E-commerce ready Word­Press Web­site.We record, mix, edit & mas­ter a wide vari­ety of styles, in the form of full albums, demos/EPKs & pod­casts. We also pro­duce broad­cast radio pro­grams, and audio books on CD.For bands and groups we offer multi-track record­ing (16 tracks live) & mix­ing up to 64 Tracks(at 24bit/96kHz)using our Pro Tools HD 3 Accel Sys­tem.Our stu­dio offers a very nice sound­ing drum room, a com­fort­able iso-booth, a well equipped con­trol room, and a big kitchen & bath­room for your com­fort and con­ve­nience. We also have a nice patio out­side where you can kick back and relax between tracks.We are located close to great restau­rants and shops in Grass Val­ley. There are 2 local music stores; Sound­Check Music & Fog­gy­Moun­tain Music, Bri­arPatch our local organic co-op within 5–10 minutes.

Sun­Sound Stu­dios Stan­dard Rates

• Track­ing — $45/hour w/Engineer
• Mix­ing — $50/hour
• Mas­ter­ing — $80/hour

Pro­duc­tion Services:

• Pre-Production — We pro­vide expert assis­tance with Pre-Production (song struc­ture, charts, arrange­ments…), select­ing musi­cians (we know quite a few), pro­duc­tion strate­gies, and the devel­op­ment of your songs to a pro­fes­sional level.

• Pro­duc­tion — Record­ing Ses­sions, Live Record­ing, Mixing/Editng Ses­sions,  Pod­cast Record­ing, Wor­press Web­site Design

• Post-Production — Video & Audio Edit­ing Ses­sions, Audio Mastering.

And, even if you are not near the Sierra Foothills of CA, we can work with you to cre­ate tracks for your pro­duc­tion or music project.~ Pro­ducer rates deter­mined by project & meet­ing with artist. ~

Rules of the House

• All deposits are non-refundable. If you aban­don your project you lose your deposit.
• You are respon­si­ble for con­firm­ing your ses­sions at least 48hrs in advance.
• No work on tracks or arrange­ments, etc. can begin until the 50% deposit is received.
• If you choose to add more songs to a project in progress, a deposit equal­ing 50% of the upgraded pack­age will be required or negotiable.
• Once any one song has been mixed within any project as described in the pack­age rates above, and the artist has approved the mix and taken it out of the stu­dio as a CD, DAT, or any other mix down source, any changes or addi­tional work requested on any part of that project or song will accrue addi­tional charges accord­ing to the hourly rates on our ser­vice list.
• We will hold com­pleted mas­ters for 3 months and then will not be respon­si­ble for keep­ing them unless you have made a spe­cial arrange­ment with the engineer/producer.

More Infor­ma­tion

Ses­sions Musi­cians We have a num­ber of very tal­ented musi­cians on call to do ses­sion work. These are work­ing musi­cians who know their stuff! Costs for their ser­vices are worked out between the client and the musi­cian.Dupli­ca­tion We are glad to pro­vide names of dupli­ca­tion houses that our clien­tele have had good expe­ri­ences with. Also, we can dupe and label up to 20 CDs, usu­ally for dis­tri­b­u­tion as demos.Stor­age & Back-up Because we have return cus­tomers and because you just never know, we back up all project files to either dvd (4.7 gig capac­ity) disc and/or large capac­ity exter­nal hard drive. Files can be saved and archived in a wide vari­ety of file for­mats, so that they can con­ceiv­ably be taken to any other facil­ity for future post pro­duc­tion work.Mobile Record­ing Sun­Sound Stu­dios pro­vides mobile record­ing ser­vices for all venues includ­ing club, con­cert, church, fes­ti­val & more. Multi-track and stereo record­ings are achieved uti­liz­ing com­pact, high­est qual­ity dig­i­tal for­mats then edited and mas­tered to CD.
